Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and user-focused IT Help Desk to join our inside support team. This role is responsible for providing technical support to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to enhance the user experience.
Pay: $55,000-$60,000
Location: Lewisville, TX- Onsite
Travel: 10%
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for employees.
Ensure timely resolution of IT problems, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
Assist employees with software applications and tools by providing clear guidance and training.
Set up and configure new computers, peripherals, and software applications for employees.
Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and IT processes in ticketing systems and documentation tools.
Communicate updates and significant IT incidents to stakeholders.
Monitor systems and networks to ensure efficient operation.
Coordinate hardware repairs and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Set up and manage user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols.
Escalate complex technical issues and collaborate on larger IT projects with team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems and computer science or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 365).
Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
Experience with IT service management tools like JIRA or similar ticketing systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
Patience, empathy, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple support requests.
Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Adaptability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
Attention to detail to ensure thorough documentation and resolution of issues.
Strong team collaboration skills and dependability.
